With innovation and creativity at its core, Studio Image Promotions ushers forth a new way of promoting business.
For entrepreneur Danielle Pruitt Robb, innovation and customer service go hand in hand. A lifelong creative with a passion for people, she found herself at the forefront of Whole Foods Market’s nationwide expansion in the late 1980s, designing more than 125 new stores in burgeoning marketplaces. That experience helped catalyze her deft skill for people and problem-solving.
“I like to say I’m a fixer of problems,” she says. “Challenges are exciting for me because I can always find a solution.”
Such a mindset led Pruitt Robb to leave the supermarket in 2001 and found Studio Image, Inc., a commercial design studio catering exclusively to chain stores. In working with clients, she found yet another untapped market, as the popularity of chalkboards had stores caught between incorporating modern, versatile signage and using non-food-safe, dusty chalk. Thus, Chalk Ink®, the world’s original chalk marker, was born, with a roster of Fortune 500 clients including Starbucks and Target.
Today, Pruitt Robb has expanded the Studio Image, Inc. brand once again with Studio Image Promotions, a WBENC-certified promotional products company that carries the same spirited gumption and high-quality merchandise for which its founder has become synonymous.
“Life should be fun. Promotional items should be fun. We want this to be a fun experience,” says Pruitt Robb.
Tailor-Made
Studio Image Promotions’ products go beyond the classic can cooler. From leading outerwear labels to best-in-class drinkware, aprons, flash drives, and more, the company covers the gamut of brandable items while prioritizing quality, creativity, and invention.
“That’s where our customer service comes in,” says Pruitt Robb.
Putting people first is a tenet she instilled in the company during its earliest days. Whether enhancing a client’s logo in Photoshop for better printing, advising on the best items to buy, or expanding offered products based on requests, the team’s experience and education combine for a more personalized approach.
Repeat and referral clients are a testament to Studio Image Promotions’ integrity and spirit, as are new items that seek to improve safety in dire situations. Following the 2017 Las Vegas shooting, Pruitt Robb pivoted quickly to expand the Chalk Ink brand with the Safety Marker®, a multipurpose tool in myriad fluorescent colors designed for use by first responders, medical personnel, school officers, and more. At Studio Image Promotions, personal protective equipment, safety vests, and other products help keep communities healthy and safe.
“In the world today, safety is the future,” says Pruitt Robb. “Being able to move as the world moves is why we’re still in business. We’re small enough to adapt quickly and shift gears as ideas change.”
Serving heavy hitters as a woman-owned business, Studio Image Promotions, Pruitt Robb notes, is equipped to face bigger challenges with better solutions.
